Composed of 8 (noble) metals: Copper, Tin, Nickel, Zinc, Iron, Lead, Mercury, Silver.
Choosing a bowl: In general the bigger the bowl the lower the pitch. Smaller bowls will be higher pitch, larger bowl lower pitch. Bowls up to 16cm will sit nicely in hand for playing. 17cm and 18cm bowls can can also be played on the hand put are a bit heavier to hold. The percentages of the 8 metals, the diameter and the thicknesses of the singing bowls provide the specific sound and overtone of each singing bowl. Each and every bowl is unique.
