Dizi Flute C

The Dizi is a traditional Chinese wind instrument most commonly made out of bamboo, giving it a lovely tone and resonance. While most simple flutes have only a blowing hole and finger-holes, the Dizi has an additional one, called Mo Kong, in between the two. A thin membrane (Di Mo) is taut and glued over the Mo Kong, when played the membrane vibrates creating the typical buzzing and nasal tone of the Dizi.
